Our congregation's story begins in 1813, when settlers began this church in the Genesee Valley of Western New York. Since then, we have striven to love and serve faithfully as part of God's great narrative of love and care for all Creation.
We have many stories to tell and many more yet to write, with God's help. York United Presbyterian Church is a community of people who encourage everyone to experience the love and presence of God and Jesus Christ. We seek to be a loving, sharing body of Christ where all are welcomed and accepted. Please join us for our 10 am worship.
A Message from Rev. Marcia Reiff: Greetings to the faithful gathered at York United Presbyterian Church. I am looking forward eagerly to joining you on your journey as your Transitional Pastor. While the tasks of transitional ministry may feel different from business as usual, the most important value of enriching our relationships with God in Jesus Christ, and with one another remains the same.
And relationships are built through sharing – sharing meals, sharing in worship, fellowship and service, and most crucially, sharing our stories.
As we share our stories together and reflect through the lens of the universal story as revealed in Jesus and in scripture, may God lead us in the continuing unfolding of that story in the here and now.
A Message from Session: Welcome to York United Presbyterian Church. We pray that you find here a congregation excited and meaningful about helping you to engage in faith, share God's love and blessings with the world, and affirm the Spirit's light in each other's life.
The people of York are warm, caring, and sincere about extending friendship to one and all. We truly seek to live out our membership vows of serving with "intelligence, creativity, imagination, and love".
Our church has a deep appreciation and understanding of story, especially as we consider our role in God's great narrative of love, hope, and peace. May you find that your story is welcome here, and may you find the Spirit's inspiration as we love and serve God together.

The congregation of the United Presbyterian Church of York is a community of people who encourage everyone to experience the love and presence of God and Jesus Christ. Our excitement and confidence come from God's promises for our future.
Therefore, with support and encouragement for one another we will walk with Christ on our spiritual journey. Through prayer, worship, study, and caring we strive to be a loving, sharing body of Christ where God's children of all ages are welcomed and accepted.
